October 14
The October 14 meeting was cancelled owing to the federal shutdown. Our guest speaker was to be an FBI employee who would address the topic of how to manage an “active shooter” situation. This will be rescheduled for a later date when feasible.
September 24
FBI Memphis CAAA Members Tour Memphis 911 Center - 23 of the chapter members and guests toured the Memphis 911 emergency call center. The 911 staff gave members a revealing look at the work of the center, the training that employees receive, and the range of emergencies experienced in the Memphis community.

Chapter meeting featuring speaker Sherita Johnson, Chief Information Officer of UMFR Ventures, a non-profit that helps college students stay in school and get real-world job experience while they continue their studies.
June 17
Chapter meeting featuring Shawn Karol Sandy, Chief Revenue Officer for ProTech Services Group. An advocate for girls, she spoke to the importance of educating girls and young women in setting healthy boundaries and encouraging them to become risk-takers.
April 15
Chapter meeting featuring speaker Joe C. Murphy, Jr., interim U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee. Mr. Murphy spoke to the work of his office and its role in combating crime in Western Tennessee.

Chapter meeting featured speaker Rick Black, owner of CORPRO SAFETY. Mr. Black spoke to security topics and gave highlights of his experiences working within the Tennessee prison system.
